The Simple Law of Attraction
Strange coming from a literary geek, I know.
But what greater story is there to write than the story of our bodies? Or how the universe works?
Lately I have been thinking back to those high school days. Days when I was trying to wrap my mind around the laws of physics and memorize the periodic table of elements. Eek!
I would always think, why do I need this? Who cares about the density of Helium or the atomic number of Barium?
And my teachers would say, “you’re going to use this in your career. You are going to use this in your life.”
I can honestly tell you that I have never used this in my career.
But sitting here all these years later, maybe I have used it in my life.
For example, the law of attraction.
Like magnets some people stick with you in your life, while others you find repellant.
But ask yourself why you dislike this person. What makes them so repellant to you?
You might find that this person actually activates you to be a better person. Or this person might be quite similar to you, and maybe it is a side of you that you don’t like.
Don’t rush to judgement, rush to discovery.
Research yourself! Step into your lab coat and examine yourself under the microscope.
And what is attraction?
It is the coming together of energy.
Don’t let others suck out your energy. And don’t stifle your own energy! Let it flow.
When you think of attraction, you must also think of attractive.
Are you attractive? Of course you are. So make sure it exudes in everything you do.
Be a beautiful person on the inside and everyone is attracted to.
Attraction is the game of life.
As Deepak Chopra says, “The law of attraction also pulls on everything; it attracts to you many things at once, not just one thing. The obstacles you meet are part of the whole picture. For that reason, this law can’t be used as a wish magnet, even though it would be wonderful if it could. I think it’s more useful to use another spiritual law, the law of reflection. This law states that the whole situation around you is you. “I am what I see. What I see is me.” Once you see it is only you reflecting yourself back, what happens? You become more self-aware. As self-awareness expands, you become much clearer and focused on what you truly want. Then and only then can the law of attraction work for you reliably.”
We must look at ourselves.
Start thinking about what you attract.
Think about what you want to attract in this life and you will quickly see what you give out is what you will get back.
So I guess that chemistry class was useful after all.
